FAQs, Tips & Tricks
Why hot-air stoves?
Hot-air stoves are promising and profitable heating systems because ...
- they have no long water heating phases so that the produced warmth is at once available.
- air does not boil or freeze.
- your need not fear water damages through pipe bursts or other leakages.
- you need no buffer storage.
- you save space and get free walls because no radiators are needed.
- you have up to 91 % dust absorption through several changes of air per hour and effective filter technologies instead of constant dust circulation through the warm radiators.
- installation and operation costs are low.
- our hot-air heatings are to be mounted at a reasonable price and quickly ready for use.
- of the quick amortisation of the hot-air heatings by saving of energy, waste management costs, or expenses for much more expensive systems. You can invest the saved amount usefully into the purchase of profitable machine tools.

Is it possible to burn oil instead of wood?
- Basically yes, but only in alternation (either oil or wood).
An additional oil burner must be installed.

Can different rooms be heated with one stove?
- Without problems. The hot-air is either diverted via channels or a hot-water module is integrated which supplies radiators.

Do hot-air stoves meet the ecological requirements?
- All EWI-Therm devices reach values equal to gas and oil furnaces. They can also be used in residential districts.

Why deflagrations?
It can come to deflagrations if ...
- the combustible contains too much dust.
- the moving air supply of the hot air isn't maintained and the hot-air blower pulls the flame from the fire door.
- the stove got stuffed too late so that the combustible could ignite no longer faultlessly.
- the smoke tube has a too long way (no more than 2 m) to the chimney.
- the combustible got too hasty into the furnace.
- the stove is leaky and the hot air is lead into the furnace.
- the reheating chamber or the heating tube is full of ashes and the waste gases cannot be removed properly.
- the furnace bridge or the furnace table is missing or has been put wrongly into the combustion chamber. These must point into direction of the fire door with the closed side.

Why does the stove not produce heat?
Reasons could be that ...
- the flue blower turns in the wrong sense of rotation.
- the filter elements are extremely dirty.
- the secondary and primary air combustion are wrongly adjusted.
- the moving air supply from the heated room to the hot-air blower is not ensured.
- the reducing damper at the flue blower is too much or even totally closed.
- the stove is leaky and the hot air is lead into the furnace.
- there is not enough or too wet fuel in the hot-air stove.
- the jalousies in the hot-air tubes are partly or completely closed.
Attention: Overheating of the hot-air stoves.

Why are there flying sparks and smoke development from the hot-air tubes
Reasons could be that ...
- the explosion door on the radiator has been lifted by a strong deflagration and is open.
- there is a strong soiling by wood dust in the hot-air stove which ignites during heating.
- the radiator is burnt out and became leaky in the course of time.

Why are there flying sparks from the chimney?
Reasons could be that ...
- unsuitable fuel, as fine saw dust or sanding dust has been used.
- some of the heating tubes are extremely dirty or even totally closed, so that the higher waste gas velocity draws sparks in the other heating tubes.
- the flue gas deduster has not been cleaned.
